Only you can do it, no one else can do it for you!
I started walking in the mornings since 30th September 2017, due to my weight that was 93+ kgs. I realized that this was not good for me and the morning walk was the least I could start doing.
After 4 months of regular walking when nothing changed, I decided to start jogging. But my friend was not interested in jogging, so when he was not with me I started jogging for short durations of 5-10 minutes once or twice in a month (because of Pankajji, Piyushji, Deepakji and some senior citizen who were running regularly at Bhagshala ground).
In February 2018, Mr Vinit Shah suggested and motivated me to register for ‘Radio Mirchi Neon Marathon’ in 10k run on March 11th, 2018. It was a very good experience for me. In the same month, I also decided to go for my first Half Marathon on 25th March 2018, but it wasn’t easy to complete.
After this 10k and HM run, I started searching for new running events and running buddies near my location. I saw a post on Facebook for a group run; it was organized by Kalyan Dombivli Runners (KDR) dedicated to fellow runner Late Ulhas Gawandeji.
After joining of Kalyan Dombivli Runners, the first thing I learnt was that ‘Stretching is a must pre & post-run’. You may judge how immature runner I was. With KDR run buddies, I learnt a lot. Slowly things changed with all the motivation and support provided by the whole KDR team.
